The first time in my life hardest part of a conversation with the client was to convince him to let me work for free.
It started with opening twitter today morning.
I am so glad that I opened twitter today morning.
Today morning as I opened my eyes, my room partner, Jaypal was like "tere ko pata bhi desh me kya ho gaya while you were sleeping, Jake dekh twitter me"
So I opened twitter in my mobile browser. The first tweet I read was from a very well known YouTuber named Dr. Sagar RV. He tweeted that he's looking for someone to upgrade his website. I commented on his tweet (I am a web developer, By the way) and went back to my normal routine Expecting no reply.
In the evening, when I opened my mobile browser, the twitter tab was still opened. So I refreshed. And there was a message from him. He asked me how can I help him with his website. I went through his site and made a list of improvements that can be done, and replied to him.
He impressed with my to-do list and we close the deal.
The hardest part of this conversation was to convince him to let me work for free.
(I was following his tutorial videos for the last 6 months on youtube about the stock market. Now he was a mentor to me and I can't take a fee from a mentor ).
